This Shell Line adopts resin-coated sand to make sand molds and uses iron shots as filling materials to support the molds, focusing on casting precision and sand mold strength. It consists of five modular units: pouring & cooling, shot-sand separation, iron shot cooling & storage, dust removal and control system. Equipped with a PLC linked control system, it supports both automatic and manual operation modes. The production line features compact layout and smooth process connection, suitable for mass production of castings made of various materials. The casting precision error is ≤±0.3%, the scrap rate is reduced by 15%–20% compared with traditional processes, the production efficiency is increased by more than 30%, and the cyclic utilization rate of steel shots reaches 95%, realizing efficient resource utilization.

Sand molds produced by the shell molding process boast high strength, good air permeability and excellent collapsibility. Castings manufactured with this technology feature outstanding geometric and dimensional accuracy, which greatly reduces casting defects and fundamentally improves the internal quality of castings. The standardized process flow is: steel shot filling into shell molds → pouring → cooling → shakeout → part taking → separation and recovery of steel shots and sand. The process is simple, highly controllable, and easy to operate and maintain.
